November
On November 17, 2025, it was my honor to speak at a special ceremony during American Education Week—a time when we come together to recognize and celebrate the dedication, hard work, and service of our educators. I was able to take a few moments to express my deepest gratitude to the faculty of the Essex Fells School District. Their unwavering commitment to guiding and nurturing our students is at the very heart of what makes our school exceptional. They are the true ripple effect makers of the community. Their daily examples of character demonstrate that they are the ultimate role models for our students.
Our mission, that “Studies Pass Into Character,” is not just a statement; it is a promise and a guiding principle that each of our staff members uphold every day. Through their passion for education, they instill not only knowledge but the values, resilience, and integrity that shape our young learners into compassionate, thoughtful, and confident individuals. They ensure that what begins as lessons in the classroom becomes part of the character and foundation of the next generation.
We know that teaching is not just a profession—it is a calling. It is late nights preparing lessons, endless patience in answering questions, and creativity in making learning engaging and relevant. It is the commitment to every child’s success and the belief that each student has boundless potential. The years of dedicated service reflect not only a profound love for teaching but also an enduring belief in the importance of fostering both academic excellence and personal growth.
As we celebrate American Education Week, let us all take a moment to thank the specific members of our faculty being recognized for their invaluable contributions. They make the Essex Fells School District a place where learning flourishes and where each student is given the tools and encouragement to transform their studies into the character that will guide them throughout life.
We are thankful for their dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence and grateful for everything they do.
