From the Superintendent's Office

Thank you to the Board of Education Members for their faithful work on behalf of our school. We appreciate the commitment of Amanda Haber, President; Raj Mehta, Vice President; Jenna Maffucci, Shaun Kessler and Christopher Pisacane. Your representation of the Essex Fells community is appreciated.

Thank you to the 2025-2026 PTA Executive Board: Lauren Mastria, Sandra Oubina, Sarah Kessler, Brittany Maurillo, Sara Deni and Andrew Engel. We appreciate all the PTA does for our school community and look forward to another wonderful year working together with the new board members. Brittany Maurillo and Sarah Kessler, Co-Presidents, Courtney Abrahamson, Vice Presidents, Joelle Muhammad, Secretary, Andrew Engel ,Treasurer and parent volunteers on exciting opportunities for our students and staff.

Thank you to the EFFEE for all they provide for our school. Lindsay Farkas, Christine Lembo, Paige Daniels, Eliza Zine, Michele Trapasso and Kate Stefancyk. We look forward to our continued partnership on behalf of our school with their new trustees. The enriching programs the Foundation supports make EFS an even more exceptional place to grow. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who contributed their time and efforts behind the scenes this year to help our students.

This year EFS provided Summer Learning Recommendations for students to utilize over the break. Please set aside time on a regular basis over the summer to practice newly learned skills. Daily practice and preparation will lead to successful transition back to school in the Fall.

A Welcome Back packet, which includes a letter from your child's teacher will be sent out in August.

Congratulations to the EFS Class of 2026. We look forward to celebrating the completion of their studies at EFS with a ceremony at 9am on June 18th. Best wishes to the 6th Graders, who are moving on to middle school. The lessons and experiences provided at Essex Fells School will serve as a strong foundation in all future endeavors. As this school year comes to a close, I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy summer.
