In order for the principal, administrators, teachers, and students at your school to have full access to our program and all its benefits, it may be necessary to complete the following steps. Edmentum recommends your network administrator configure the network firewall, content filter, and any other application controlling website access to make sure the following domains/URLs are accessible from the workstation in order to run Study Island.
- Add the following wildcard URL’s to the allowed list on your network
- Add @studyisland.com to your email filter list.
- Add @edmentum.com to your email filter list.
- Make sure all computers have the latest versions of Flash and Java possible.
IP Addresses vs. URLs
Some customers may use devices to filter traffic specific to Study Island. Many devices allow administrators to configure the filter by URL or IP address or range. Due to the dynamic hosting of Study Island, IP ranges and addresses can change unexpectedly. If you configure your networks using IP as opposed to URLs, we recommend using the wildcards above to allow all traffic to pass regardless of IP address. If you must configure your network with IP addresses or ranges, please contact Edmentum for more information.
If you any questions or concerns about these recommendations, please contact us by calling 800.419.3191 or emailing support@studyisland.com.
